Lately, I've been lamenting how technology - rather than making life easier - often seems to make me more distracted and disconnected from real people. But this Christmas, I was glad to put technology to a really good use. David and Tiffany couldn't make it to San Antonio for Christmas this year since they just moved to Hawaii, but we were able to have a hilarious webcam meet up where they showed us around their place and mom was able to see her dear, sweet Lily.

Also, I got a great gift this year. My sister got me some Kopi Luwak (better known as "cat poop coffee") which is said to be the best coffee in the world. Keeping with the theme of technology, this is the most amazing mashup of nature and technology ever. Check this out:

Step 1. Start with raw Coffee Beans

Step 2. A "cat-like" creature eats the beans

Step 3. Said creature ads $1000 flavorings contained only its magic stomach and then excretes the beans

Step 4. The excrement in cleaned by hand and then roasted for our enjoyment

Step 5. Profit!
